General Stuff

I have been looking for a simple way to earn some cash from product domains I have floating around which would work with my Wordpress application and be very quick to build out.

I am currently testing PHPBay on a number of domains and find it has been converting pretty well. The software is well supported and even I could use it out the box which means its simple to use.

If you would like to see the product in action then you can see a live site being built at paddington-bear.net Over the next few days you will see the site developed into something a little more impressive but right now everyone is working on another project.

I played with this as well as it is a great way to make fast and easy little sites that can do pretty well once indexed…or of course with PPC campaigns.

I liked the “blog stores” better than full site scripts such as BANS myself. I ended up using bayrss which is basically the same idea as phpbay.

Here is one I did up with bayrss: http://allwiineeds.com/

Super easy to set up and since you use wordpress there are already thousands of free themes and mods you can add on in no time. I never went back and added any real content which would have helped with search traffic but made some decent cash with PPC during the xmas rush ;).

Here is my post about my initial test if you want to check it out…haven’t done the follow up posts yet though lol: http://dotdriven.com/index.php/12/affiliate-marketing-101-bootstrappin-myself/
