Today I was looking at my blog comments and I found a rather threatning one from a chap based in Ireland who obviously had an issue with one of our old sites getmecontent.com.
I look back at getmecontent, the issues we had and the measures we took to fix it and I still find people wanting to have a go at me personally. There were rumours we took money and run, accusations the site went bust, claims the content was spun and lots of other made up stories to make us look bad.
As a lot of readers know when we started GMC we had an agreement with a company based in India who would supply the staff and admin for the site. Our main task was to promote the website and explain the benefit of cheap offshore writing services. We had almost no day to day involvement in running the administration side of the business which as we later found out caused a limited number of problems for some customers.
To cut a long story short we had an editor who was responsible for around 30 of our customers. For a long period of time he did a very good job and provided our customers wih a great service with a 99% success rate on our own customer satisfaction audits.
We were notified by a irate “customer” who complained about the quality of an ebook he purchased of GMC. After a quick investigation it turned out this editor had been moonlighting on freelance sites and using the GMC brand to get business for personal gain. We then were informed of various bad posts on forums about the quality of the service GMC offered. Once again we investigated these issues and they all reverted back to this same editor who had decided to sabotage his GMC customer base by providing very poor service.
We quickly took steps to remove this editor from the business but in the time he was there he had seriously annoyed about 15 people who were in various stages of getting content. Out of badness the same editor decided to destroy all his customer records from our main system which meant we could not tell who had received what.
We set up a live support and email ticket support system and offered anyone who was affected a complete rewrite of any articles paid for. Everyone but a few took us up on the offer and the ones who didn’t decided to continue to post rubbish on forums using multiple user names.
After we sold GMC I kept the GMC support desk open and offered anyone with a claim for ANY outstanding content to contact me so we could honer any orders. This closed just a couple of weeks ago.
Because it seems some people still say they are owed content I have decided to open this up again for another 2 weeks and ask anyone with issues to contact me using the form on this blog. If your claim can be verified then I will be happy to make sure your order is fulfilled and content sent out.
So to sum up, if you have a problem contact us and I will FIX IT.
I would also like to say that the GMC of today is a far different site that it was when it started and administration and support is carried out by the US based owners. The site now features live support and the sales team can be contacted by telephone. If you have ANY reservations about GMC I would have a chat with the sales team and take advantage of the 1000 article offer they have running right now.
