The people of Aberdeen seem to have very mixed views over Donald Trump and his Trump Organizations attempt to build 2 luxury golf courses and 1200 homes in and around the Aberdeen area.
The local planning council decided to refuse The Donald’s request and plans on the basis its not good for the environment and because of some local concerns that it might make Aberdeen to busy with all the tourists.
The good news is the Scottish Government have stepped in to take control of the situation and hopefully w the benefit of having such a prestigious brand coming to Scotland. The people who have objected obviously don’t realise that Scotland is competing in an international marketplace and they can only benefit from long term investment and growth in the region.
I think that its about time we take the planning process of the local council and let the Scottish Government deal with large scale projects. This would give everyone the chance to have an opinion and hopefully motivate more international investment.
Lets hope the Scottish Government make the right decision and let Donald build this wonderful destination for both the people of Scotland and tourists alike.
