I was looking at an advert today for a company who was offering to build an automated affiliate site for $500 using wordpress and some plug ins which they claim was a good deal. I decided to build my own wordpressed based affiliate site which cost me a total of $1.24 and less than 1 hour of my time.
To start off I had a look at my domain portfolio and found I owned the domain Auctionads.info which i had registered a few weeks ago as part of a domain spending spree as Godaddy are offering .info domains for $0.99 each.
I installed it on a spare hosting account (using hostgator) and used fantastico to install the latest version of wordpress which took only a few minutes.
I found a nice Wordpress theme online and after playing around with it for 10 minutes using Dreamwever I had a simple but effective template to promote the Auctionads.com affiliate program
My next task was to find some content and I decided to pull some feeds from the Google news site targeting the keyword EBay. 30 minutes after I started looking for the domain I now have a fully automated promotion machine built on a great quality blogging platform for less than $2.00!
My next task was promotion and as someone who hates link building I paid $10 to have the site submitted to 150 blog directories which I always find effective for short term project’s
For a total investment of less than $12 I have a fully operational automated blog with promotion which is not a bad deal in anyone’s book and a great deal cheaper than the $500 site I had seen a few hours earlier
Take a look at the blog yourself and have a think about using the same idea on your spare domains , you never know it might just earn you some cash

That’s awesome! And the blog looks pretty good too! Any chance you’ll be doing for me for $12?
I can pay you $3 extra!
